Gedraag Ow delves into the heartbreaking story of Guus Janssen (21) who became a victim of senseless violence during Carnaval 2022 in Horst. The documentary follows four of his close friends, each with their own unique bond with Guus, as they try to navigate their grief in very different ways.

While one turns to alcohol and drugs or hides behind humor. They other feels unsafe or struggles with anger and guilt. Yet through the pain, their friendship only grows stronger.

Gedraag Ow resonated deeply, drawing 10,000 visitors in movie theaters and earning the Kristallen Film award – an award for films with over 10,000 admissions. The award ceremony was held on the very square in Horst where the tragedy took place two years earlier.
